Article: My Top 5 Book Series

1. Harry Potter by J. K. Rowling:
“We've all got both light and dark inside us. What matters is the part we choose to act on. That's who we really are.”

I have so many favourite quotes from this series, it's hard to pick just one.

You probably read the HP books, watched the movies, or did both. I could go on and on about the things that I like about this series, but the list is TOO long. What's there not to like expect Voldemort and Umbridge and the death eaters. You'll never regret reading the books, I can guarantee that.

The books are a true, pure magical read. I seriously cannot fathom the fact that J. K. Rowling has been rejected many times by publishers. Good thing she did not give up.

Personal Favourite Book of the Series: Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

2. Anne of Green Gables by L. M. Montgomery:
“Because when you are imagining, you might as well imagine something worth while.”

Anne Shirley is a lively girl, who seeks places with "more scope for the imagination". The books trace her journey through maturity, and a better disposition. From Green Gables, to Avonlea, to the Island, to her House of Dreams then focusing on her kids.

Anne is chatty, competitive, romantic, and a bit vain. The best thing about this series is, Anne is not the only lovable character. Her classmate and, later, husband Gilbert Blythe is a sweetheart *gushes forever*. The Cuthberts- Marilla and Matthew, who adopt Anne are among my favourite fictional characters. Moreover, these books have such a glorious setting.

My personal Favourite Book of the Series: Anne of the Island.

P.S. Anne With an E is an enrapturing adaptation to this series. Season one was fantabulous.

3. The Winner Trilogy by Marie Rutkoski:
"She thought, fleetingly, that this must be what memory was for: to rebuild yourself when you lose the pieces."

This series has the best historical fiction story. With each book, the plot gets more interesting, the characters become more well-sketched and mature, and the narration is written more beautifully. Therefore, The Winner's Kiss is the best book of the series, with a surprising plot twist that works out impeccably.

Kestrel's people stole Arin's people's land- Herran, then killed and enslaved the people. Arin was trained to get his land back, and Kestrel was her father's pride. When Kestrel learns the truth, she decides to help Arin, even if that means making risky bargains that would tear them apart, and cost more than she has ever imagined. Kestrel is so smart and powerful. Arin is honest and selfless, but never self-deprecating.

The story is heart-breakingly beautiful.

My personal Favourite Book of the Series: The Winner's Kiss

4. Percy Jackson and The Olympians by Rick Riordan:
“It's funny how humans can wrap their mind around things and fit them into their version of reality.”

Greek Mythology is retold in a most intriguing, sarcastic style. It's fascinating to read about it in the modern-day world, and fitting the characters to this age. Those vain good-for-nothing Greek gods screw things up, and then assign quests to their demigod kids to run their errands. Percy Jackson, son of Poseidon, hates most of them, and never bothers to hide that. I totally loved Annabeth; she is wise and brilliant.

My personal Favourite Book of the Series: The Titan's Curse

5. The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins:
“Happy Hunger Games! And may the odds be ever in your favor.”

In a dystopian world, the defeated districts of Panem are the amusement for the rich, elite people of The Capitol. Each year, two tributes from each one of the twelve districts are chosen to fight in the hunger games where only one can survive by turning into a vicious person obeying their rules, until Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark defied those very rules.

It is a story of survival, bravery and heroism. It's also the story of fear, loss and pain.

Katniss Everdeen is the exemplary figure of a female fighter.

My personal Favourite Book of the Series: Catching Fire

Article: My Top 5 Children Books

Children Literature is rich of wonderful tales, mostly with great morals and lessons. These tales are unique for their characters and writing style. Personally, I think they not only meant for kids as adults, like me, enjoy reading them from time to time. 1.        Charlie and the Chocolate factory by Roald Dahl:   “But there was one other thing that the grown-ups also knew, and it was this: that however small the chance might be of striking lucky, the chance is there. The chance had to be there.”  There's a chance for five kids to visit Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory which has been shut for ages. However, Charlie's family is poor, they cannot afford buying a chocolate bar. His grandpa tries to help him, but he gets a Golden Ticket after two futile attempts. He takes his grandpa for a companion, and together they have a grand time inside the wonder that the factory is. After many adventures and several tests from Willy Wonka, Charlie s...
